Hello everyone and welcome back to Journey with Char! Ok, I have been hearing that Ace Hardware sold apple pies. So I just had to send Josh up to our local Ace store and check it out. Low and behold, they were there! All kinds, apple, peach, blueberry, strawberry and more. So we chose the crumble apple pie. I couldn't wait to give it a try. In this video I give my honest review on the pie we chose. We were also informed that during Fall Season they sell a pumpkin pie that is said to be really good. We'll see. I hope you enjoy this taste test! If you like what you see, please consider subscribing to my channel. Also, it would be a big help if you hit the thumbs up button and leave a comment below on what you think. Have you tried the pie? Stay tuned for much more with Journey with Char! About This Video

Y’all… can you believe Ace Hardware has pies? I had been hearing about it, so I sent Josh up to our local Ace to see if it was true, and sure enough—they had a whole lineup from The Pie Company: Dutch apple, caramel apple, regular apple, blueberry, strawberry, blackberry, mixed berry, peach cobbler, and more. We brought home the Dutch apple crumb top pie (about $18–$18.99), and I showed you the ingredients, the website info, and exactly how I baked it—frozen on a sheet pan at 350 for 1 hour and 40 minutes, rotating every 30 minutes. Once it came out, that crust had me excited—it was buttery, flaky, and honestly “on 10” looks-wise. After it cooled, we taste-tested it plain first, then with Trader Joe’s French vanilla ice cream. Here’s my honest review: it’s a good pie with a nice balance—sweet enough but not too sweet—and the apples still have a little crunch. But for me, it needed more cinnamon and more flavor in the crumble top, and I like my apples more caramelized. Josh gave it a 7, my mom gave it a 7.5, and I gave it a 5.5 out of 10—still worth trying if you like a lighter, not-too-sweet apple pie. And as always, trust God, keep Him first, and be kind to one another.
