What’s up you guys—today I’m installing the Attica 4x4 Apex Series headlights on my cousin’s 2016–2023 Toyota Tacoma and walking you through the whole process step-by-step. I show what comes in the box (including the adapter harnesses), what tools you actually need (panel tool/flathead and a 10mm), and I’m straight up about install time: if you’re new to wrenching, plan 2–3 hours; if you’ve done installs before, you can knock it out in about an hour. The install is mostly clips, a few 10mm bolts, pulling the grille (and unplugging the front sensor harness if you’re 2018+), then loosening the wheel well area so you can slide the headlight out the right way. I also show the one factory part you transfer over—the turn signal bulb—and how the wiring is basically plug-and-play as long as you match the connectors. If you have an SR/SR5 without factory DRLs, you’ll need the included blue DRL harness and a fuse tap. After everything’s in, I test functions before reassembling and I show the cool part: you can choose white DRL or amber by connecting/disconnecting the two blue connectors behind the headlight. Initial impressions: the design is clean and blacked-out (I hate chrome), the low beams are bright but more “wide” than “far,” the high beam difference is minimal, and the DRLs are dim during the day—amber is brighter than white, but I still wish they were brighter for daytime.
