In this video I’m working on my friend’s 2015 Tacoma (2nd gen 2012–2015) and showing you how to install and wire up the AlphaRex NOVA Series headlights. I keep it simple and real: you only need a panel tool/flathead and a 10mm socket, and I walk you through pulling the grille, popping the clips, getting into the wheel well for that side bolt, and wiggling the factory housings out without scratching anything or breaking that little plastic tab that holds the bumper trim. The big takeaway is doing the wiring the clean way. I route the harness under the upper radiator cover so you’re not staring at exposed wires from the front, then I hook power and ground at the battery (the ring terminals have a slit so you don’t have to fully remove the bolts). After that, I run the add-a-fuse through the firewall using a metal clothes hanger trick and tap the top-left 15A slot in the interior fuse box. I also show you how to switch the DRL color: leave the two gray connectors unplugged for white DRLs, or plug them in for amber. Once everything’s in, you get the startup “dance,” sequential turn signals, and a DRL that stays on even with the headlights off.
