Hi there, my lovely lovely sleepy squirrels. In this cosy ASMR unboxing, I finally open a board game I backed on Kickstarter (and waited ages for, because… Kickstarter life). It’s called Apothe Bakery, and I’m genuinely obsessed with the theme: witchy, cutesy, and ridiculously adorable. Before we even get into the “what’s inside”, I spend a little time with sleepy cardboard sounds—tapping, tracing, and that satisfying plastic-wrap peel—because the illustrations are just too cute not to trace all over. Then I properly unbox everything and walk you through what you’ll actually get: the rulebook (I read a bit of the lore and the basic flow), the player boards, the wilderness landscape board, the little fabric bags, the dice, and all the punch-out tokens. I also talk through the gameplay structure as I’m learning it—six rounds, with three phases per round (foraging, alchemy, healing)—and why I love that it supports solo play. The best part for me is the organising: punching out tokens (with some very satisfying “no resistance” punch-outs), sorting elixirs into the coloured bags, and packing everything so it fits snugly in the box. Cozy, tidy, and honestly… so satisfying.
