Hi there my lovely lovely sleepy squirrels. In this video I’m unboxing an October Blissim beauty box (yes, I actually wrote “October” on the side so I’d remember—foresight, for once). Before we get into the goodies, I spend a few minutes doing those extra sleepy cardboard and packaging sounds, because honestly… it’s just the coziest way to start. And then we chat through the theme too—this box had a breast cancer awareness focus, with proceeds going to the Pink Ribbon association. Inside, I go item by item and tell you what I’m genuinely excited to use, what I’ll only “fully test,” and what I already know isn’t for my skin. The clear winner for me is the Batiste dry shampoo (I use it regularly and love the handy mini size), and I was pleasantly surprised by a rice-starch mattifying primer that felt like a silky, cloudy jelly and dried down super smooth. I also try an eye contour product with a cooling metal applicator (it’s properly cold once the cream hits it), and I’m very happy it doesn’t seem strongly scented. The two “not for me” bits were a face oil (my skin just doesn’t appreciate oils) and a musky suede-vanilla home spray that I wouldn’t risk around migraine sensitivity. Overall: a really solid box, and honestly it feels just as usable in spring as it would have in autumn.
