What is up YouTube, it’s Hollywood Floss (the worst producer of all time), and in this video I jumped back on the SUNO tip because they dropped two big things: Mashups and Sounds. Mashups lets you take two different generations (two vibes/genres) and blend them together, and Sounds is basically SUNO’s one-shot/loop generator instead of generating full songs with lyrics. I’m on the V5 Premiere tier and I’m also in the beta for Sounds, so keep that in mind—I'm showing you what I’m seeing on the highest plan. For Sounds, I tested stuff like a “funky guitar one shot,” an “808 bass drum,” and a couple piano note ideas. Speed-wise, SUNO is still crazy fast (less than 20 seconds a lot of the time), but the results are hit-or-miss right now. The 808 one-shot was a no-no for me, but some of the melodic one-shots/notes were actually usable, and you can tell it’ll get better as it gets trained. Then I tested Mashup by dragging my older SUNO songs into the remix area and letting it blend them. The concept is fire and I do like the mashup feature, but I noticed artifacts in the vocal (that staticky sound) and one mashup only gave me like 12 seconds, which is wild. Overall: Mashup is the star right now, and Sounds is promising but needs work—just slow down so you don’t burn credits moving too fast.
