What is up YouTube—Hollywood Floss, the worst producer of all time, and in this video I’m putting Melody Sauce 3 in FL Studio and doing a real side-by-side with Melody Sauce 2. And off rip, this ain’t just a “2 with a new skin”—it’s a whole new version. The big upgrades I’m looking at are the new chord progressions (finally not hidden), chord + bass rhythms (simple, but they’re there), upgraded melody algorithms, and the MIDI import detection where you can drag in chord MIDI and it detects the key/chords automatically. I walk through the new workflow: you pick your genre up front (trap/hip-hop/R&B), set your tempo, and then generate ideas fast. The piano roll color-coding is clutch because it shows what’s in-key vs out-of-key, and having chords and bass visible helps the melody “follow you” in real time. Now, I’m keeping it 100—there are some limitations: you can’t really edit chords/bass inside the plugin like you’d want, and you can’t edit overlapping notes in the editor (you’ll handle that in the FL piano roll). But if your goal is to beat beat-block and get counter melodies quick, Melody Sauce 3 is giving more structure than 2, and I’m definitely going to combine it with other AI tools like Spawn in a later video to see who really got the better melody sauce.
