What is up YouTube? It is Hollywood Floss, the worst producer of all time, and in this video I’m checking out Serato Hex FX inside FL Studio. Since Black Friday is back around, this is the time to grab the plugins you skipped or you was on the fence about. We already rock with Serato Sample and Serato Studio, but I wanted to see what Serato is doing on the effects side—so I took a regular, stock-sounding little soul/R&B piano loop and started running it through Hex to see if it can turn that basic vibe into something that sounds more “pro” and more alive. Hex is laid out super simple: you’ve got categories like DJ, color, lo-fi, space, vocals, drums, artist, plus a save/favorites section, and it runs on a multi-band setup so you can shape different parts of the sound. I mainly preview presets and show how you can use it for transitions and movement—especially if you’re stuck with a four-bar loop and you don’t want it sounding like the same thing over and over. My honest take: if you already have RC-20 or ShaperBox, you probably don’t “need” Hex. But if you’re loyal to Serato and you want quick presets that just work, Hex is dope, easy to use, and I’m a preset hog—so I like it.
