In this video I’m checking out Klimper 2, a chord MIDI tool that helps you build quick chord progressions without overthinking it. I show how it works in FL Studio, but the whole workflow is basically the same in any DAW: pick your key and scale (I go E minor), and then you’re immediately choosing chords that make sense. I like that it’s straight to the point—minor shows red, major shows green, and the “neutral” stuff is gray, so visually it’s easy to move around and hear where you want to go. I run through a super common progression (1-5-4-6), then I change voicings and drag the MIDI straight into an instrument (I drop it into Zenology and swap to a better sound). After that, I add new tracks inside Klimper to build extra voicings, melodies, and even a bassline, and the plugin keeps you locked in-key so you’re not guessing. If you’re not ready for more intimidating or expensive tools like Rapid Composer, EZkeys 2, or Scaler 3, Klimper 2 is a nice middle ground to learn a little theory, see chord numbers if you want, and get ideas fast.
