In this video I show you how to turn off TalkBack Voice Assistant on a Samsung Galaxy if your phone suddenly starts talking to you and describing everything you touch. TalkBack is designed to help people with impaired vision, but if you turn it on by accident it can make your phone feel really awkward to use because taps and scrolling work differently. First, I try the quickest fix: if the TalkBack shortcut is enabled, you can press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to toggle it off. If that doesn’t work, I walk you through doing it from Settings while TalkBack is active—so you’ll need to single-tap to select, then double-tap to open, and use two fingers to scroll. I go to Settings > Accessibility > TalkBack, then switch the toggle off and confirm “Turn off” on the popup. I also show how to enable the TalkBack shortcut afterward, so if you ever switch it on by mistake again, you can turn it off fast with the volume button shortcut.
