In this video I show you how to change the language on Android phones, step-by-step. The exact wording of the menus can vary a bit depending on your device, but the process is basically the same across Android. I start by opening the Settings app, then scrolling down to find either “System” settings or “General management” (you’ll see one of those on most phones), and from there heading into the Language options. I also cover what to do if you only have one language listed and can’t switch yet. In that case, you need to tap “Add language,” pick your language from the list, and choose a dialect if it asks. Then you can set it as the default, and your phone will switch over. I explain how the language in the number one slot is your primary language, and how you can tap Edit and drag languages into the order you want—then hit back and the change takes effect.
