Ultrahuman sent me the Ring Air, and this video is basically me going in blind and doing a real first impressions unboxing + setup on camera. I start with how the sizing kit works (I used the dummy rings to figure out my size), then we crack open the actual Ring Air and check out what’s in the box. I picked the raw titanium finish because I’d heard the coating on shinier finishes can chip/scratch easier, and honestly… this one looks gorgeous. Also, the box/ring smells weirdly nice, like they sprayed deodorant in there or something. After the unboxing, I walk through the initial setup in the Ultrahuman app: pairing over Bluetooth, filling in basics like height (their scroll wheel input is kinda goofy), and the whole calibration period thing (up to ~15 days) where it learns your body patterns. I also test the “Find my ring” feature because I’m always worried I’ll lose it, and it’s actually super cool. At the end, I tease the long-term review I want to do (including an Apple Watch comparison), plus I do a quick early battery note: from 100% down to 8% in a little over 5 days.
