Hey y’all — in this video I’m unboxing and doing my first quick test of the DJI Osmo Mobile SE, which is also my first ever smartphone gimbal. I grabbed it on a pretty solid Amazon Prime Day discount because I want smoother shots for my student-style tech videos, and I’ve been wanting to experiment more with mobile photography and mobile videography. I walk through what’s actually in the box (the gimbal, magnetic phone clamp, mini tripod stand thingy, charging cable, carrying bag, quick start guide… and yeah, some sick stickers), then I fumble my way through setup like a true first-time gimbal owner. After I get it powered on and connected through the DJI Mimo app, I head outside and run a basic camera test using features like ActiveTrack. The big takeaway: the gimbal itself feels excellent for the price, and it helped me grab a bunch of smooth, “cool awesome shots” right away. My main complaint is the app — it felt a bit janky, and I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t tracking ducks the way I hoped. Overall though, this is a super promising entry-level gimbal, and I’ll probably do a full review once I’ve used it more.
