Whats up guys, in this video I show you my method of structuring my weight loss program. The main goal is to keep is simple. Like the words of Coach Garner "Simplicity improves adherence and adherence is what ultimately gets results" Losing weight can be difficult but once you develop a program and system then it becomes easy. In this video I do not show you what to eat but rather show you how to structure your weight loss journey. I break it down into 5 easy steps. 1) Begin with the end in mind -- Knowing where you're going is all you need to get there. Gather as much data as you can, weight, measurements, pictures, clothes, whatever you want you just need somewhere to start. Write down your weight goals and where you currently stand. 2) Measure your food-- now this can be challenging at first but I promise you it becomes easier and necessary. If you don't know how much you're consuming in a day to day basis you will never successfully or permanently lose weight. Measuring food does not mean counting your calories, though knowing your maintenance calories will definitely make weight loss easier. Measuring food simply means being mindful and knowing how much you're consuming this can be done through taking pictures, measuring using hand portions, counting calories by using calorie counting app, etc. 3) Make a list of your favorite foods-- this is just a way to remember that you don't have to deprive yourself from your favorite foods. You are not a robot. It's okay to eat your favorite foods just be aware of how much you are eating and limit yourself to certain treats. My last training camp I still ate pizza, cake, and ice cream granted it was not a lot but something is something and it allowed me to be mentally free and continue on my weight loss journey with less of a struggle. 4) Plan your meals ahead of time-- If you are starving and still don't know what you are having for dinner it is already too late. You must know what you are going to eat beforehand to avoid making mindless mistakes. How many times have you been hungry grocery shopping? Did you end up grabbing a quick snack just to hold you off till dinner? Well that snack cost you 500 unwanted calories. Plan your meals ahead of time! 5) Start exercising-- If you already exercise AWESOME! Continue your routine, if you don't exercise you need to start somewhere our body's aren't meant to move. Start by going on nice walk, jogs, join a boxing class, buy a jumprope, go hiking, walk your dog, ANYTHING. Start moving and get in the habit of working out this will boost your weight loss!
