Boxing Hook To The Body | Set Up

What's up guys in this video I go over 3 ways to set up the hook to the body for boxing. I can't say this enough THERE IS NO ONE WAY TO BOX. Everyone has their own style and preference so its best to try them yourself and see what fits best with you. In this video I first cover Ryan Garcia's left hook to the body against Luke Campbell, how he set it up and why it was so effective. First way: Get your opponent to think you will attack the head. Boxing is a chess match. Its the greatest puzzle that's why it's such an incredible and difficult sport. Going in to the fight Luke Campbell knew Ryan had a powerful left hook to the head in fact he has dropped many people with the punch. Throughout the fight Ryan landed and missed hooks to the head but eventually caught Luke almost dropping him but the bell saved him. Moving forward Ryan expected Luke to protect his head AS HE SHOULD, and then Luke raised his guard leaving his body exposed. That was the end of the fight. Great set up by Ryan. Second way: Rear Uppercut to Lead Hook to the body. This punch is used by many fighters. The rear uppercut puts you in a great position to land that hook to the body for a couple reasons. 1) It grabs your opponents attention to defend up the middle 2) Your weight shifts from rear side to lead side allowing you to really put power behind the hook to the body. Third way: Throw in combinations. The more punches you throw the higher the chances of landing a hook to the body. Simple. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. By throwing multiple punches especially to the head you make your opponent guess what's coming next, sometimes it lands sometimes it misses. By throwing multiple punches to the head you get your opponents attention upstairs and once you see the opportunity throw that hook to the body.
