In this video I’m breaking down the only running shoes I’m actually using right now, because I’m building out my half marathon training shoe rotation for the Yeovil Half Marathon 2026. I’m a non-elite runner from the South West of England, so this isn’t some fantasy “pro-only” setup—this is the real-world mix I’m reaching for week in, week out to cover easy miles, workouts, and anything a bit spicier. I run through the key pairs that have made the cut over the last few weeks, including shoes like the ASICS Metaspeed Ray, ASICS Nimbus 28, Puma Deviate Nitro 4, and Hoka Rocket X 3 amongst others. The whole point is to keep things simple: a rotation that protects the legs, keeps training consistent, and still gives me options when I want to push on.
