Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Divers Ready. In this video I’m doing a quick look back at our 2025, why it was a quieter year on the channel, and what we’ve got coming in 2026. The simple truth is: I was absolutely slammed with students—back to back pretty much all year—and students are my priority because they pay the bills. On top of that, Karina and I took some personal heavy losses early in the year, and it knocked the wind out of our sails, so we took a breath, focused on training, and bunkered down a bit. No apologies, but I did want to give you an honest explanation. We still had some big moments: the highlight was our Sardine Run 2025 group trip in South Africa—two full boats of divers chasing epic wildlife along the wild coast, with whales and dolphins galore. I also take a moment to acknowledge the passing of Michael Menduno (M2), a giant in the dive industry and a personal friend who championed our channel early on. We touch on DEMA (yes, I read the comments), a new partnership with Halcyon including a three-video series and Symbios handset computer giveaways, and then I lay out what’s ahead—more student training, plus Truk Lagoon trips with Pete Mesley in October and November 2026 with a few spaces opening up.
