Hi guys—this video is my Toronto Vintage Show vlog + haul, and honestly it’s my favourite time of the year. The show is where I pick up a big bulk of my vintage wardrobe, so I start by doing a full walk-through booth by booth to see what’s out there. This season there was truly a little bit of everything (and oh my god, the jewelry was exploding everywhere), plus accessories, handbags, prints, and even home decor—so it’s a great outing even if you’re not only shopping for clothes. I will say, I noticed there were fewer older pieces overall, with a lot more 50s and up (and definitely a lot of 70s/80s and more street-style). But if you’re willing to scour the entire floor—every rack, every corner—you can still find those special 1920s–40s treasures. In my haul I share the pieces I couldn’t resist: a simple, wearable 1940s navy coat, a stunning Art Deco-inspired velvet jacket, a very Missoni-looking striped 1970s cardigan that still reads 30s to me, and an adorable 1920s blouse with a big Peter Pan collar. Then I get into accessories like a practical day-to-day cord handbag that actually fits my (too-big) phone, a green Deco hat from Vintage Soul Geek, dress clips, brooches, a $2 1930s skinny scarf, and the sweetest 1920s silk shoes—plus one super impractical but iconic “special” piece at the end.
