This week I found myself at a beautiful lighthouse, surrounded by long walks in nature, and it gave me the space to reflect on something I’ve been chasing for a long time—balance. Living on the road isn’t always easy, but moments like this remind me why I chose this path. It’s about slowing down, noticing the small things, and finding peace in the rhythm of each day. In this video, I’ll take you along as I explore the lighthouse, share the beauty of the walking trails, and open up about what “balance” looks like for me right now. ✨ Thanks for being here, and for sharing this journey with me. #VanLife #SoloFemaleVanLife #creativeliving Website - https://www.brennalivingjoyfully.com/ Email - brennalynn@iinet.net.au

About This Video

In this video I finally cross something off my wish list: I go up the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta, Western Australia. I’ve wanted to do this for years, but every time I’ve been down this way it’s been too warm to safely leave Abby in the van. This time the weather is cool, so I can leave her snoozing while I tackle the 170 stairs (going up was fine… coming down, my knees definitely had opinions). The tour guide was fantastic, the views were incredible, and it reminded me why I love exploring these kinds of places. Afterwards I surprised myself by stopping for coffee and cake—something I basically never do—because I got a bit emotional. Being a solo van lifer with a dog means Abby is with me 24/7, and so much of my day revolves around her comfort. Having just over an hour to myself felt really special. A few days later, while editing, I realized the bigger reason it hit me: I feel like I’ve finally found balance between work, YouTube, art, writing my book, and still having time to just be. If you’re in that “there aren’t enough hours in the day” season, I want you to know it’s not impossible—don’t give up.
