About This Video

In this video I’m finally trying the MICHE Strawberry Champagne Anti-Humidity Gel for the first time, and y’all… we have to talk about it. I show you the texture up close (because it is ridiculously luxurious), give my real first impressions, and compare it to the original Tropical Oasis gel that I’m basically almost out of. The biggest surprise right out the gate was the scent—on me it gave more “chemically/Autozone/doctor’s office” than strawberry, and I’m super picky about fragrance, so that was a moment. Then I turned it into a true wash-and-go experiment: raking method on one side and my usual shingling method on the other (because yes, I’m the shingling queen). I timed both sides, applied on soaking wet hair like MICHE recommends to help prevent flaking/caking, and dried under my hooded dryer for 30 minutes. The shingling side had more definition throughout the length, but the raking side still surprised me with a solid cast, decent definition on the ends, and a good overall finish—plus it saved time. Final takeaway: the formula is still that girl for slip, hold, shine, and volume, but the Strawberry Champagne scent is not my favorite.
