Good morning you guys and welcome to Weekly Reading Vlog #88—this one is basically me getting back into my normal weekly vlog rhythm while I plan for the new year and try to get my life together. I’m officially back at work, setting up my desk, catching up on emails, and tackling unfinished tasks from last year. I also share one of my big 2025 goals: I want to complete one course every month (so 12 courses this year), and I’m trying to build a real routine around studying for an hour every morning before I fully get into my work day. Reading-wise, I chat through what I’m planning to finish (and what I actually finished). I’m working on The Starless Sea on audio through Libby, plus a few shorter reads like Cook Off at Go Paza and Unicornia: Learning to Fly (I like to read kids’ books first before I let my daughter fully read them). I also talk about wanting to help my niece-in-law build her bookshelf because she’s obsessed with reading but doesn’t have great access to books at school. And then we get into real life: my Crocs order finally arrives (after weeks), I’m not happy with the service, but I’m testing them for foot comfort anyway. The vlog wraps with a Sunday reset vibe—editing, studying, home stuff, meal prep—and a proper reading update with quick spoiler-free thoughts on Freda McFaden and Murderbot.
