Good morning you guys—welcome to my weekly reading vlog (Bookmas Day 7). In this one, I’m trying to keep my week on track with a proper routine: early-morning studying before work gets hectic, alternating gym days with my husband (because Planet Fitness doesn’t have a kiddies room), and actually using my 2025 daily diary to stay accountable. I’m juggling work courses (including a LinkedIn Learning one), editing goals, school admin chaos, and all the normal life stuff like laundry and meal planning—so it’s very much a real-time “life in my 30s” kind of week. Reading-wise, I share my TBR and give updates as I go. I’m reading Cook Off at Gogo’s Spaza (a sweet, short children’s book), and I’m also working through This Is How You Lose the Time War—which is short but needs proper concentration because a lot is implied. The main focus is Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo on audio (and with my eyes when I can): Alex Stern at Yale, secret societies, ghosts, rituals, and a mystery around Darlington’s disappearance plus a suspicious death tied to ritual nights. I also picked a Kindle read (Ascender by Ken Hall) and I’m obsessed already—death-speaking, crime-scene memories, and terrifying constructs. And because I’m me, there’s also a green smoothie moment (spirulina, spinach, avocado, dates) and a little Kindle cover DIY inspired by Deb Olivia.
