Hey you guys—welcome to Weekly Reading Vlog #85. This week was honestly a hell of a week. Even though I was technically on leave, I still ended up working a lot, and we also spent a ton of time doing family things (which I really needed). Family is my number one priority—everything else comes after—so you’ll see little snippets like the market run, a grocery haul vibe, and us sorting out school shopping (stationery is so flipping expensive, by the way). I also chat through some real-life bits like editing struggles when phone footage plays back weird in DaVinci. Reading-wise, I wrapped up The Final Empire and I gave it 4.5 stars. I talk through the world (the ash, the red sun, the Lord Ruler, the skaa vs aristocracy) and why the metal-based magic system was just so cool to read—especially the push/pull mechanics and the politicking. Then I started The Pumpkin Spice Café for some cozy small-town grumpy/sunshine vibes, and it genuinely made me miss reading with my eyes after relying on audiobooks. Plus, I unbox and test a powerful new Nutri 1200 blender and make my first smoothie in forever—because when I’m not doing smoothies, my fruit intake is not it.
