About This Video

In this video I’m sharing my November 2025 TBR/hopefuls, and honestly… I needed a fresh start. October didn’t go well for me reading-wise (I finished three books, but one was a children’s audiobook I listened to with my daughter on our commutes), so I didn’t want to spiral—I wanted a new stack and a fun way to choose it while still reading to my mood. Instead of doing a TBR jar, I used prompts from Mouse Reads’ “Clear Your…” readalong (I heard about it through Becca and the Books). The whole vibe is clearing unread books from your shelves before the new year, which is exactly the energy I want. I wrote down 24 prompts, but for November I’m only using prompts 1–10, and then I’ll use prompts 11–24 in December (in my mind I’ll have more time… even though December is usually chaos). I also tried to pull mostly from my TBR cart—books I already felt in the mood for through the rest of the year—so this list is very “realistic hopefuls.” You’ll see cozy fantasy, middle grade, classics, thrillers, and a few books I keep putting off (yes, Babel, I’m looking at you). I also share an honorary mention I’m already loving on audio: The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires, which surprised me by being genuinely funny.
