In this Bookmas Day 2 video, I’m sharing the fantasy and sci-fi series I’m planning to start in 2026—and I mean start, because these are series I haven’t properly touched yet (even though I do have other series I’m mid-way through… that’s a different conversation). I realized I own a lot of complete series, or I’ve got the first few books sitting on my shelves, and I just need to push myself to finally begin so I can keep collecting and actually finish what I start. I talk through what I’m most excited about, what I’m nervous about (hello, cliffhangers when I don’t own book two), and why certain series are on my priority list—like The Stormlight Archive after I finish Mistborn, The Expanse before I watch the show, and the Shadowhunter world (starting with The Dark Artifices so I can eventually get to The Last Hours). I also shout out some newer-to-me picks like The First Binding, Gideon the Ninth, The Shadow of the Gods (dragons, okay!), and a few “I’ve been hearing about this from my high fantasy reading girlies” titles like Justice of Kings and Age of Ash. Basically: it’s a motivation list, a little wishlist energy, and a reminder that fantasy is a good time—read fantasy books.
