About This Video

Hello you guys—welcome or welcome back. In this Bookmas Day 5 video, I’m finally sharing my December 2025 book haul, and yes… it’s in stacks, as always. I’ve got books sent to me from Jonathan Ball Publishers, Penguin Random House, and Pan Macmillan, plus a few that I bought for myself. I’ve been sitting on these for a while because I’m planning a bookshelf redo and I needed these books to have a place to live (instead of just existing in random piles around my house). From Jonathan Ball, I talk through a powerful non-fiction pick, Healing the Mother Wound by Mushita Leila (definitely one I’m expecting to be triggering but also transformative), and an adult fantasy I’m really excited for: Warrior Princess Assassin by Brigid Kemmerer. From Penguin Random House, I received The Rose Field (Book of Dust #3) by Philip Pullman—so I’m officially on a mission to get to books one and two—and a gut-health cookbook that genuinely aligns with my lifestyle goals, especially as I’m leaning more and more vegan. Pan Macmillan came through with some stunning fantasy romance, including Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent, and then I wrap up with my own purchases—like replacing Red Rising (my favorite series of all time, okay) and grabbing Warbreaker by Brandon Sanderson. Basically: fantasy, healing, food that nourishes, and a whole lot of excitement for my 2026 reading plans.
