Coyotes Are Taking Pets… So We Set Traps

In this video, the boys and I are back at it tackling another predator problem — this time coyotes targeting neighborhood pets. With growing coyote activity becoming a serious concern, we set out to stop the problem using steel traps for coyotes and live traps for opossums that are causing similar issues. We walk through our predator trapping setup, explain trap placement, and show how we’re running steel traps, live traps, and bait strategies to deal with nuisance predators safely and legally. After getting the traps set, we head out to the hunting lease to rebait the hog trap and check additional live traps for predators that have been tearing things up. Although the coyotes managed to stay elusive this time and avoided the traps, we did have success catching multiple opossums, proving the setups are working. Predator control is never guaranteed, and this video shows the real side of coyote trapping, including the challenges and frustrations that come with it. We’re not done yet — we’ll be continuing after the coyotes and the hogs in the coming days, dialing in our strategy and staying after these problem animals until the job is done. If you enjoy real-world trapping, predator control, hunting leases, and outdoor problem-solving, make sure to like, comment, and subscribe for upcoming videos as this hunt continues. Disclaimer: This video documents lawful predator and wildlife management practices conducted in accordance with local regulations. The purpose is education, land management, and protecting property and pets. No illegal or unethical activity is shown. #bondedbytheland #outdoorfamily
