Like the Moto Guzzi Griso, the Kawasaki W650 is mechanical, simple, and flawed. It's analog. That made it a compelling choice. In this video I explain why I chose the Kawasaki W650, what it will shed and how it reminds me of my old Zenit E SLR camera and a Hasselblad! **Goldtop Motorcycle Jacket Referral Link: https://goldtop.co.uk/?ref=BlueMarbleRider You pay no extra, and I get a small kickback from anything you purchase at this link - Thanks! **SUPPORT the BlueMarbleRider Channel with some Fuel or Coffee? https://www.buymeacoffee.com/bluemarbled It's much appreciated. About This Video

I bought the Kawasaki W650 for the same reason I’ve always been drawn to bikes like my Moto Guzzi Griso: it’s mechanical, simple, and a little bit flawed—in the best way. This video is me laying out why that matters to me, and why an “analog” motorcycle is still worth chasing in a world that’s increasingly polished, digitized, and filtered. The W650 has that honest, hands-on feel where you can see and understand what’s happening, and that’s exactly the point. I also talk through where I’m taking this bike next—what I want it to shed, what I want to keep, and how the whole build is going to stay rooted in that analog vibe. I compare the W650 to old cameras like my Zenit E SLR and a Hasselblad: not perfect, not trying to be, but incredibly satisfying because you’re part of the process. If you’re into wrenching, ownership quirks, and building something that feels personal rather than “optimized,” this is the roadmap for my W650 plans.
