The 5 Best Ways To Enjoy The Stelvio Pass By Car or Motorcycle in 2025 | Cinematic Motovlog - Part 1

The Top Gear team ranked the Stelvio Pass as among the best roads in the world describing it as ‘15 miles of asphalt spaghetti draped on an Alp’. Simply put, the Stelvio is Mecca for petrolheads. In this video, I’ll show you how we managed to have the Stelvio almost to ourselves in our Abarth. I’ll tell you how you can drive or ride a motorcycle on the Stelvio from the north east while having it almost completely to yourself. I’ll explain what we did to make our 2024 Stelvio Pass drive a spectacular, exciting, and a safe experience. Part one will be the ascent from the north east direction of the Stelvio to a descent down that section back to the perfectly situated and remarkably reasonably priced hotel. Travelling over the Stelvio Pass is a challenging drive. It has 60 hairpin bends, 48 of which are on the northeast side of the mountain approached from Prad am Stilfser Joch. This video covers driving up the Stelvio from this direction, where the road is extremely narrow in places as you set off up the climb. We will also descend this side of the pass as well, just in case you want to see what that would look like if you came from the other direction.
