I might be a slow learner… but I just can’t quit motorcycles. 🏍️ On Vancouver Island, it’s not cars I worry about — it’s the camouflaged, suicidal deer playing Russian roulette with my front wheel. This week, I christened my Kawasaki W650 “Lucky.” 🍀 Will the name stick? Well, grab a seat, hit that like button, and keep your drink far from the keyboard. Let’s play a game: Spot the Deer. Do you feel lucky? Well… do ya? **Goldtop Motorcycle Jacket Referral Link: https://goldtop.co.uk/?ref=BlueMarbleRider You pay no extra, and I get a small kickback from anything you purchase at this link - Thanks! **SUPPORT the BlueMarbleRider Channel with some Fuel or Coffee? https://www.buymeacoffee.com/bluemarbled It's much appreciated. About This Video

I might be a slow learner… but I just can’t quit motorcycles, and this ride on Vancouver Island is exactly why. In this video I’m out on my Kawasaki W650 and the real “traffic” problem isn’t cars—it’s deer. Camouflaged, suicidal deer. The kind that pop out of the bush like they’re playing Russian roulette with your front wheel, and you’re the one who pays the price. Somewhere along the way I christen the W650 “Lucky,” which feels like the kind of superstition you only lean on when you ride where wildlife is a constant wildcard. The whole thing turns into a little game—Spot the Deer—because if you don’t keep your head on a swivel out here, you’re going to have a bad day. Takeaway? Ride like you’re being hunted by surprise hazards: scan the shoulders, expect movement, and don’t let the calm scenery trick you into relaxing. Vancouver Island is beautiful, but it’ll test your survival instincts on two wheels.
