I’m out in Las Vegas at the 2025 HFA Trade Show getting behind-the-scenes time with companies pushing recovery (and wellness) tech forward. In this video, I walk the floor and talk directly with the team at Life Smart about what they’re building and who it’s actually for—people who want fitness and recovery to fit into their home, their budget, and their routine. The big theme I kept hearing was consistency: making the “right thing” easy enough that you’ll actually do it. We dug into a few standout pieces. On the fitness side, they showed me the X218 walking pad that converts into a full-size tread in about three seconds—basically fitness meets origami—with a top speed of 18 km/h (12.5 mph) and a deck that opens up to 22" wide by 55" long. On the recovery side, we talked through a full routine approach: cardio (vasodilation), cold plunge (vasoconstriction), then massage to keep circulation moving.
