In this video, I’m reviewing the Chirp Halo wireless muscle STIM and answering the big question: do STIM units actually work? I break down what this device is, what you get in the box, and how it’s different from the old-school therapy units I’ve used before (boxy controls, cords everywhere, and sticky fabric pads). The Halo is way more “from the future” in comparison—almost completely wireless, super simple to use, and it all lives in a hard travel case that also charges everything. I also give a high-level explanation of TENS vs EMS (I’m not a doctor): I think of TENS as more nerve stimulation for temporary pain relief, while EMS is more muscle stimulation for blood flow, range of motion, and situations like muscle atrophy. Then I show the real-world use on my calf and walk through all six routines—pain relief, massage, squeeze, thump, stretch, and “wo Nelly”—plus how intensity (up to 50) and time (up to 60 minutes) work. My main takeaways: it does what it says it does, it feels like “internal” massage-gun style relief, and it’s versatile—but you do have the ongoing cost of replacing pads over time.
