About This Video

In today’s vlog, I’m taking you along to Kate’s riding lesson as she keeps building her partnership with Stevie. We work through lines, crossrails, and an oxer, and there’s a big focus on rideability: keeping Stevie in front of the leg, staying tall and straight, and not letting her fall in. The coach is really clear about the mindset piece too—when Kate comes in a bit short, she has to truly believe she can correct it with her leg and adjust the stride, instead of just accepting whatever happens. And then we have the moment that made everyone stop and laugh in disbelief: Stevie banged a jump and somehow managed to keep the pole standing… and she did it twice in a row. Even the coach said she’d never seen anyone do that once, let alone two times back-to-back—“quite a balancing act,” and honestly, I was impressed. We finish up by making a few smart adjustments (including adding a ground line) so Stevie reads the fence better and jumps more honestly. Plus, Kate’s Senior Prom happened this weekend, and she looked beautiful. She and her friends were very strategic and basically closed the place out—because of course they did—and today she finally reveals the prom dress you all voted on earlier.
