My California Camino: Plans, Gear Loadout, and Training Hike!

It's been five years since my plans to walk the Camino de Santiago were ruined by Covid restrictions. Since then I have wanted to do something similar but more local and less time consuming. When the Pope announced that 2025 would be a jubilee year focused on pilgrimage, I decided the time was right! My plan is to walk the last 100km of the California Missions road - the El Camino Real - sometime in 2025.
