About This Video

In this vlog, I’m taking you through a real Saturday-to-Sunday reset as a mom of 3 in Nigeria—because honestly, a lot is happening. I did a quick market run (this was shot in October, after my bulk October market vlog) to pick up the perishables I like to buy fresh, like cocoyam, uziza/perinko and oha leaf for my cocoyam soup. And yes, as a mama, I must buy fruits for my kids—because I grew up expecting “something from market” from my own mom, and I’m keeping that sweet tradition in my home. From there, I show you how I prep the two major things that help me run my week: soup and stew. I blend and freeze tomatoes ahead so making stew is faster, and I keep the stronger tomatoes in the fridge for quick egg sauce and other meals. While cooking, I also open up about motherhood—how beautiful it is, but how draining it can be, especially when you don’t have a house help and you’re fully intentional about your kids’ feeding, hygiene and academics. I also share my honest advice to ladies in their 20s: build yourself while you’re single and you have 100% of your time. Get the skills, the degrees, the business foundation—because when marriage and kids come, your time is divided. And on Sunday, you’ll see how I plan for church with kids (food is a must), then we stop at the supermarket for groceries—especially rice, because I don’t buy market rice again after my experience with rebagging.
