Hi my darlings, in this weekend/back-to-school vlog, I carried you along as I started my back to school preparation from 30th August 2025. First, mama had to do what she knows how to do—prep pop (akamo) because if you’ve been watching my vlogs, you already know this is one food that must be available in my house. It helps me a lot for dinner, especially when the kids return from school—I can quickly pair it with beans, plantain, or even bread and we’re good. I also shared our Sunday outing as we attended a baby dedication at Gateway International Church, and my darlings, their praise and worship was out of this world. After that, the real back-to-school hustle started. Rain spoiled my Wednesday market plan, so I went the next day to shop and I focused on buying everything in one warehouse to avoid stress—water bottles, cutleries, socks, singlets, tights, underwear, and a more durable school canvas material that can handle frequent washing. I also shared my honest tips: if you can afford Clarks, close your eyes and buy it (plus I buy 2 sizes bigger and use a shoe pad), and I maintain my kids’ lunch bags and food flasks myself so they last. To wrap it up, my sister helped me make the girls’ hair at home (because salon crowd that weekend is not for me), and I did freezer-friendly prep—stew base, fried chicken and beef—so school mornings won’t stress me. Back to school is not easy, but stew is truly a lifesaver in any home.
