About This Video

Hey everyone, it’s Bridget (BB’s Beasties), and in this video I’m finally sharing something I still can’t believe is real life—we bought an animal building! I’m giving you an empty tour of the space so you can see what we’re working with before any of the real build-out starts. It’s a 10x20 metal building with a window, a built-in bench area (that I’m already planning to use for storage and writing), and even a storage loft up top for all the extra reptile and pet supplies that always seem to multiply. I also talk through the reality check: this is going to take time. The building is totally unfinished—no walls, flooring, wiring, or electricity yet—so we’re starting from bare minimum and building it out step-by-step. Because I’m in South Texas and it gets CRAZY hot, insulation is a must, and we’re putting walls up over it to help keep temps stable. For cooling, we’re cutting an opening and installing a window A/C unit, and for winter we’ll use space heaters. I walk you through my rough layout plans too—Gladiator rack systems for snakes/geckos, space for my Exo Terras (including one for future Whites Tree Frogs and one for Smeagol), a feeder insect station with supplements, and spots for a mini fridge and a small deep freezer. And yes…the big green chair is coming with me.
