Hey friends—this one is a sit-down, real-life update video, not an animal handling day. I filmed this on June 15th, 2020, and I’m 30 weeks pregnant (7 months), exhausted, and very much in the “pregnancy brain is real” phase. I wanted to be transparent about where I’m at, what’s going on with the channel, and why things are about to change fast. All of my animals were doing well at the time of filming—healthy, good weight, and shedding nicely—but I also share that shortly after (June 25th) we had an unexpected loss: my 10-month-old Okeetee corn snake, Wanda, passed away, and it’s been really hard on us. I also update you on the outdoor animal building we bought back in January—an unfinished metal building that’s becoming the dedicated animal room. COVID, my husband’s essential-worker schedule, and my pregnancy limitations have slowed everything down, so my original “full series” plan is turning into one bigger compilation video instead. Electrical is done, insulation is up, and flooring is down, but I can’t promise exact timing. Lastly, I open up about my mental health and how toxic social media has been feeling in 2020, and I’m honest that I’m battling with whether I even want to continue online long-term—especially with a baby coming and my family needing to come first. I end with a bump-date, because… yeah, this belly is a whole situation.
