About This Video

Hey everyone, it’s Bridget from BB’s Beasties, and in this video I’m finally making my very own succulent arrangement using a surprise bundle of cuttings from Partly Sunny Projects. I’m honestly obsessed with succulents (I only got into them about a year ago, and yes, I’ve made several mistakes), so I wanted a fun way to build an arrangement without stressing over the “exact science” of picking the perfect plants. Since the cuttings bundle isn’t labeled and you don’t choose what you get, it turns into this super cute, creative challenge—open the box, see what’s inside, and make it work. I show you what to expect if you order succulent cuttings: mostly unrooted pieces with little stumps on the ends, already calloused over and ready to start rooting in about a week or so. I also got a whole tiny pack of propagation leaves (like… I’m going to be propagating until the cows come home). For the setup, I use a heavy-duty pot set with drip trays, add mesh over the drainage hole so substrate doesn’t fall through, and fill with a super well-draining bonsai/succulent-style mix with lots of rocks and chunky bits. Then I just go for it—playing with color and height variation—and I end with an arrangement I’m completely in love with. Fingers crossed it thrives because I will be so brokenhearted if it fails.
