About This Video

Hey friends, it’s Bridget (BB’s Beasties), and in this video I’m upgrading my millipede enclosure for the best reason ever: I HAVE MILLIPEDE BABIES!! I was already planning to move my crew up because they were in a 15-quart tub (and I’ve got four in there now—long story short, I did have five but one escaped). But seeing those tiny babies in the old setup absolutely sealed the deal that it was time for more space. I move everyone into a 10-gallon and walk you through how I do it without stressing or hurting the babies—because let’s be real, you can’t exactly “fish out” a bunch of microscopic millipedes. I add a bag of Millie Mix as a base, then layer their old substrate on top, and I end up with a super thick substrate layer (like, way more than I expected). Then I set them up with cork flats for climbing, leaf litter, a water dish, and a little extra decor. The end result looks natural, gives the adults room, and sets the babies up with plenty of digging space as they grow.
