About This Video

Howdy everybody—Omar here, your Audio Amigo. In this episode I review the Twistura Woodnote, a $160 “premium single DD” IEM with an ultra-thin wood diaphragm and interchangeable tuning nozzles. I go through the whole package: the accessories (modular cable, 4.4 adapter, multiple tip sets, and a very plush but not-pocketable carry case), the cable (nice feel but a bit stiff), and the build (lightweight full-metal shells, good venting, no driver flex, and removable nozzles for longevity). Design-wise, it’s pretty plain Jane, and the Council of Ladies mostly backed up my “bland” call. For sound, I stick to the standard nozzle because the vocal/instrument nozzles added sparkle but got borderline shouty and sibilant to my ears. The Woodnote’s bass is textured and dynamic without being boosted to “basshead” levels, and that slight warmth gives the lower mids some nice heft. Mids are the star—especially female vocals—coming across sweet, forward, and timbre-correct, while the treble stays controlled but still detailed. Technically, I place it below the Tanchjim Origin, above the Tanchjim Fission, with above-average staging and imaging. Overall, it lands in my “this is brilliant” tier as a safer, more relaxed alternative to that familiar Tanchjim-ish tuning—especially if you’re treble sensitive.
