About This Video

Howdy everybody—Omar here, your Audio Amigo. In this Showcase Episode 12, I’m taking a quick but thorough look at the TRN BT30 Pro Bluetooth IEM hooks, a $40 solution that promises to make basically any 2-pin IEM go wireless without extra adapters. I cover the unboxing (spoiler: it’s super simple), the case and hook design, the removable/modular connector setup, and the real-world fit issues I ran into—especially with the charging case not always closing cleanly with certain IEM shapes and sizes. From there, I dig into the specs (QCC3040, Bluetooth 5.2, SBC/AAC/aptX HD) and how that translates into actual use. Sound-wise, the BT30 Pro mostly “gets out of the way” and lets your IEM sound like itself, and it had no problem driving stuff like the KZ PRX and other more power-hungry planars. The big downsides for me were comfort (the hook’s springy behavior kept tugging my IEM outward) and a frustrating pairing experience when swapping devices—no multi-device support. My takeaway: if you’re on Android, want aptX HD, and have a smaller IEM that fits the case well, it can be a really convenient beater-wireless setup—just know the compromises going in.
