About This Video

Howdy everybody—Omar here, your Audio Amigo, with Flathead Follies Episode 2, where I showcase and review the Sivga M300 earbuds. These were sent to me by Sivga for review, and while I’m not paid, I enabled the paid promotion flag for transparency. I walk through the unboxing, accessories, and the overall package, which looks appropriately premium for a $65 flathead—nice carry case, donut foams (but oddly no full foams), and a sturdy Sivga-style cable that behaves well but is heavier than I’d like and, unfortunately, not removable. Where the M300 really stands out is the build: real ebony wood shells with aluminum hardware, and it genuinely feels more premium in-hand than most plastic or all-metal flatheads I’ve tried. Specs are a 15mm graphene-coated dynamic driver, 64 ohms, and 109 dB/mW—so it’s easy to drive even off older iPods and Walkmans. Fit, though, was a problem for me (and my wife): the stemless design slid around easily, and that made it harder to consistently get the intended tuning. Sound-wise, the M300 is warm and dynamic with a big, punchy midbass and energetic female vocal harmonics—more “engaging” than “balanced.” Treble has sparkle without getting painfully sharp. Compared to the NiceHCK EB2S Pro (brighter, more technical) and the Flathead FH-01 (more balanced), I recommend the M300 if you want bass energy and excitable vocals—especially for female-led pop and rock—assuming you can get a good fit.
