About This Video

In this episode of The Planar Project, I take a hard look at the $500 limited edition Letshuoer Ember—Letshuoer’s new “flagship planar” collab with Effect Audio. I cover the whole experience: the unboxing, accessories, the case and tips, and then I spend some time on the cable… because honestly, it’s a huge letdown. It’s not modular, the hardware feels clunky, the chin slider is borderline unusable, and the whole thing just doesn’t feel like it belongs on a $500 IEM. The shells, though? Full titanium, great vents, no driver flex, no pressure buildup, and a design I genuinely love. Sound-wise, the Ember is a dark, warm, extremely relaxed planar with genuinely bass-head levels of punch and rumble, but still that fast planar attack. The mids stay lush and forward without turning syrupy, and the treble is smooth, non-fatiguing, and more extended than the S08-style tuning it reminds me of—just don’t come in expecting “planar sizzle.” I compare it to the 7Hz x Crinacle Diablo, Hidizs MP145 (red nozzles), Letshuoer S15, and FatFreq Quantum, and the big takeaway is value: I like the tuning a lot, but at $500 the Ember is a tough sell, so I rank it in my “Good” tier with a pretty narrow recommendation.
