About This Video

Howdy everybody—Omar here, your Audio Amigo. In this episode of Thrifty Tunes, I put the new CCA Phoenix under the microscope: a $30 single dynamic driver IEM and (from what I can tell) the first CCA release since the brand got moved around under new management. I walk through the unboxing, accessories, and what I think is one of the nicest stock cables in the ~$30 bracket—non-microphonic, behaves well, good connectors, and even color-coded rings. Build is also a strong point: full metal shells, clean seams, proper venting (no driver flex for me), and comfort that surprised me despite the weight—my wife even gave it a full pass on the tiny ear test. Sound-wise, the Phoenix is a bright-leaning V-shape with subdued-but-accurate bass, clean mids that are a touch recessed, and upper mids/treble that bring the sparkle—right on the edge of being too excitable. I didn’t find it outright shouty, but I did get a bit of stealth fatigue on longer sessions, and I can easily see treble-sensitive folks bouncing off it. I compare it to the 7Hz Elua Ultra, Kiwi Ears Cadenza, TinHiFi C2 2025, and the Simgot EW200, and I land the Phoenix as the brightest of the bunch. My takeaway: it’s a specialist budget pick for treble heads who want solid metal build, great accessories, and that extra sizzle on the go.
