Hey y’all, Sheila here! In this Christmas decorating video, I’m working on my foyer pony wall and showing you how I take a simple 9-foot Walmart garland (the same one I used last year) and really enhance it without spending a ton. I start by fluffing and stretching it out, then I “snake” in my red, white, and green ball garland that I scored from Michaels a couple years ago for $4 (yes ma’am—some were busted, so I just replaced a few). I’ll show you how I position everything so the color is balanced from end to end, and I use simple twist ties to keep it from shifting. To give it that little something something extra, I weave in a pearl/crystal garland for texture and a bit of sparkle once the lights are on. Then I fill in the ends with a couple extra ornaments so the garland doesn’t just abruptly stop, add frosted lambs ear clips for that soft, cozy look, and finish it off with battery lights. At the very end, I top it with the cutest little snowman head and an old bow I had in my stash—because y’all know I’m no bow master, but I do the best I can! This garland ends up being one of the first things you see when you walk in, and it ties right in with my Christmas tree for my upcoming home tour.
