In this SpinStand setup video, I walk you through the full build from the first part to the final “rock solid” tighten-down. I start by orienting the top shelf correctly (the wider front border facing you), then I show where to install the headphone hanger (left or right—your call) and the anti-tip bracket to help prevent accidental tip-overs. From there it’s all about the hardware: panel nuts in the corners, short rods, couplers, then stepping up to medium rods and long rods as we stack shelves and pillars in the right order. The big takeaway is alignment and orientation. Every shelf needs to face the same way, and the pillars need to sit cleanly in the square recesses cut into each shelf—if those aren’t seated, nothing will feel right. Don’t worry if the stand feels a little loose mid-build; once you add washers and hex nuts, stand it upright, and hand-tighten the top panel nuts, it becomes completely rigid. Finish by plugging the holes, leveling with the adjustable feet, and then load it up with your favorite records and listening gear—SpinStand is built to store components plus up to 150 records while staying clean and stylish in your space.
