Good morning from the chaotic mom trenches. In this video I’m showing exactly what I packed my preschooler for lunch this week—realistic, not aesthetic, and definitely not one of those “I cut everything into stars” situations. My kid only goes to school three days, and I’m not above packing basically the same lunch all three days and just rotating week to week because… I’m lazy. Or efficient. Pick your favorite word. I walk through the lunchbox we use (the one he’s obsessed with) and how I fill the compartments: cheese balls in the big section, then little bite-size sausages, raspberries, a couple graham cracker pieces, those fruit blocks he’s into right now, and an oatmeal protein bar. The lunchbox has those rotating sections and it’s apparently preschool lunch-table famous—he straight up refused a different one because “all my friends like it.” I also share the little mom-life reality checks, like why I did not send the taco he requested (because I’m not trying to ruin his teacher’s day). Bottom line: simple foods, small pieces, and a lunch setup your kid will actually eat.
