I’m also getting heckled by an unsolicited text asking if I “stick to my fitness plan” (rude), while I’m in a tiny feed room trying to keep Miss Smartypants from panicking and trapping me in there with her. She’s the kind of smart horse that gets into trouble—she used to open the doorknob, let herself into the barn, get into the trash, eat grain, and knock all the supplements off the wall. So yeah, “friendly smart horse” sounds cute until you live it. I add biotin powder to her feed because her mane is cracking and breaking off, which is weird because my other horse’s mane and tail are totally fine.
