About This Video

I recently finished another drop of my crow pre-orders, which means it’s officially packing time. In this small business diary, I’m walking you through exactly how I pack stained glass so it stays safe in shipping—because the goal is always: no rattling, no shifting, no surprises. I start by unboxing new shipping supplies The Boxery sent me (thank you again), and I finally get to try something I’ve wanted to switch to for a long time: water-activated, reinforced tape. I pack the silver version first (there was only one this round), and I also talk about how I added the option for silver vs. black patina—and how surprised I was that black was the top choice. I get it though: the black really makes the color and iridescence pop. For protection, I wrap each piece multiple times in honeycomb packing paper (my favorite bubble wrap alternative), tie it with twine, and then I added a new “gift-y” step with sage green shimmer wrapping paper and ribbon. To finish, I add my care card with a note, a crow sticker (of course), and then fully fill the box with packing peanuts so there’s zero empty space. I always do a shake test before sealing, then add my logo sticker, shipping label, and fragile stickers. If you want in on the next crow drop, there’s a waitlist—and pattern club spots are open too.
